Maximising technology for the future of Defence

Emerging technologies such as quantum science, autonomy, big data, cyber information and green technologies are set to increasingly influence defence and security. It is therefore critical to keep ahead of these advances, and provide the Ministry of Defence with the most qualified and able experts to know how to best exploit the opportunities these technologies give. 

The Technology School delivers through life engineering and science education in these fields from A-level to PhD. 

It also delivers expert training support, and trains 20% of all Officers who commission into the Navy, Army and Navy, as well as the Civil Service, through the undergraduate scheme working at 11 universities across the UK.

The Technology School includes:
