Online and E-Learning

Defence Learning Environment (DLE)

The Defence Learning Environment (DLE) is an internet-based platform (limited access) for the digital aspects of courses of study. The DLE allows participants to undertake compliance and elective learning through self-enrolment and be organised into cohorts and groups for directed learning. The DLE presents resources, activities and interactions within a course structure; provide for the different stages of assessment; and report on participation. Details for DLE courseware providers can be found in the DTELC TEL E-Learning Standards Profile.

The Defence Gateway has an automatic feed from JPA and HRMS which enables all Service and MOD Civilian staff to apply for an account online.  The process only takes a few minutes to register to get started.

Please note: your DLE account is created the first time you log into the DLE. If you have never logged in then your account will not be recognised in the DLE.

Acquisition e-Learning

The Defence Academy's Business Skills College offers a number of acquisition courses via e-learning. These are either stand alone or integrated within our blended learning programmes.

To apply for an acquisition e-learning course, you need to visit our Acquisition e-Learning portal on the internet.

Once you have registered you will receive an automated email with your user name and password; you will then be able to log in to the acquisition e-learning site and apply for the desired course.
