WELCOME to the Friends & Families of the Defence Academy website.

We are open to the spouses and partners of all those who work and serve in the Defence Academy and Shrivenham Station.

In line with many units and stations, we run a wide range of activities, which are held within and outside the military grounds.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends and Families of the Defence Academy (DAFFYS) is to enable all families, British, International and from all faiths, to get together for the purpose of building friendships, offering support and having fun.

The DAFFYS are a participant driven organization and rely on volunteers to sponsor and manage the activities for the Defence Academy community.

Shrivenham Grapevine Newsletter

There is a regular newsletter called the "Shrivenham Grapevine" organised by the families and welfare office here on station.  This contains a wealth of information such as diary dates for DAFFYS and non-DAFFYS events, things to do, local groups, sales and wants, adverts for various local small businesses.  Please find this here: http://www.da.mod.uk/campuses/grapevine
