Clubs and Activities at Shrivenham

The Shrivenham campus has its own fitness centres, outdoor sports pitches, tennis, badminton and squash courts, a golf course, stables, and an outdoor heated swimming pool.

Defence Academy Swimming Pool

Swimming Pool

The Defence Academy has a heated outdoor swimming pool, open from May until September.  The fully supervised pool is available for use by staff, students and their families and also offers swimming lessons for adults and children.

Golf Club

The Defence Academy Golf Club, established in 1956, is an attractive 18 hole course within the confines of the campus. The 18 different holes are achieved by a devious combination of 14 greens and 18 tees, so making each hole unique.

Saddle Club

The Saddle Club offers equestrian opportunities for all Military, students, civilian staff, and their families working in the Defence Academy.  A wide range of livery services are available for members with their own horses/ponies.

For Children

The Tennis, Saddle and Martial Arts clubs offer classes and lessons for children.  There's also a Kidz Club (8-11 years) and a Youth Group (11-16 years) that meet weekly.
