Military Acquisition Stream Overview
The purpose of the Military Acquisition Stream (MAS) is to maximise the military contribution to Acquisition by placing the right people in the right posts across the MOD Unified Customer (MOD Centre, ECC, DE&S, Front Line Commands and SIT (dstl)). Critically, these people will also be provided with the relevant training and education to deliver winning capability to the front line.

In many cases, it will also be the first course that officers will have attended that is dedicated to the acquisition of capability. The course programme is based on a training needs analysis endorsed by the MAS Steering Group with the detailed content produced by a team of military and academic staff at the Defence Academy - College of Management and Technology (DA-CMT) assisted by the relevant skills champions within the MOD.
