DA-CMT Graduation Day
The Cranfield University Graduation Ceremony for DA-CMT students took place on Friday 16 July in the Defence Capability Centre (DCC) at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham.
The newly appointed Chancellor of Cranfield University, The Rt Hon Baroness Young of Old Scone, conferred degrees and awards on 309 graduands; 148 in attendance and a further 161 in absentia. For family members and friends joining the Graduands, the ceremony provided an opportunity to mark completion of their studies and to celebrate their success.
Honorary Degrees were presented to Lieutenant General Robert Baxter CBE, former Commandant of the Royal Military College of Science, and Dr Maxwell Clive Marsh CBE, Chief Scientist for the Atomic Weapons Establishment.
The Band of The Royal Corps of Signals, Blandford, provided the music at the ceremony and a jazz trio entertained guests during a buffet lunch served in the Defence Capability Centre (DCC) main focus area.
