Defence Academy - College of Management and Technology
On 1st April the Defence College of Management and Technology will become the Defence Academy – College of Management and Technology with a wider scope and a reorganised structure.
The new DA-CMT headquarters building in Shrivenham will be opened by the Academy Director General on the same day.
The Defence Academy - College of Management and Technology comes into being on 1st April as the result of the College Integration Programme. The new College brings together a number of pre-existing training, Education, and Development organisations. These include: DaLearning; dblearning; the Defence Leadership and Management Centre; DCMT Technology Division, Nuclear Department at HMS Sultan; the Resource Management Centres; the Joint Equality and Diversity Training Centre, and the Defence Technical Officer and Engineering Entry Scheme.
At the same time as standing up the new organisation, the College Headquarters staff will move into their new base at Shrivenham. The new Headquarters building will be opened by the Academy Director General, Lt. Gen Andrew Graham. To mark this new beginning, celebratory events are being held at the new HQ building for staff and invited customers and sponsors, and for College staff at Admiral House in Bristol, Foxhill in Bath, St George’s Court in London, and at HMS Sultan in Gosport. This change to a unified and responsive college, whose primary purpose is to develop people for defence, will be accompanied by a new suite of prospectus brochures and a refreshed website containing details of all the development opportunities on offer.
