67 students recently completed examination papers 1, 2 and 3 and 49% of them achieved a credit or above in all three papers.

The OGC COC training is delivered by the DA-CMT using a blended learning approach combining e-learning, classroom workshops and revision courses to prepare students for each of the three exams.

Mel Anstee from Maritime Equipment Systems who passed paper 3 commented, “The training delivered on this course was excellent, and the examination revision was really helpful. The e-learning was also good, as it makes it easy to learn at your own pace”.

Many of the students who sat the exam have said they will continue working towards the Level 5 qualification.

With the commercial review underway there are significant changes to the programme and it is very encouraging to see such a high pass rate from our students. The OCG certificate is equivalent to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) level 4 and is required for any Commercial Officer’s role, so we are very keen to help as many students as possible achieve this”.
