Important Changes to the DELC Service
From the 1st of December 2009, many Walk-In DELCs will only be manned 3 days a week.
From the 1st December 2009, Walk-In DELCs will only be staffed by Facility Managers (FMs) three days a week. On the other two days, some DELCs will be closed but others will offer an unmanned service.
This necessitates a number of key changes to the DELC service:
- Testing such as ECDL and PRINCE2 will only be available on manned days
- Additional security measures have been put in place to prevent misuse of computers when the centres are unmanned
- Anyone wishing to use the DELC on un-manned days will therefore need to pre-book their appointments
- Courses which require CDs will not be available on unmanned days
