Higher Command and Staff Course

Details of the HCSC Course

An annual, 14 week course for approximately 30 one star and OF5 (Colonel or service equivalent) level officers from all three Services, NATO nations and some UK Government departments.

Advanced Command and Staff Course

Details of the ACSC Course

An annual, 46 week course for 330 officers at OF4/3 level (Major to Lieutenant Colonel and Service equivalents) from the three UK armed forces, UK Government departments and 90 International officers. This includes the Pre-Course Training and English Language Training modules for International and UK Non-Military Students.

Junior/Initial/Intermediate Command and Staff Training Courses

For all three Services. This consists of a range of shorter courses that are aimed at initial staff training for officers between the ages of 26 and 34. The RND and RAFD offer a small number of places for those from International.

Joint Services Warrant Officers' Course

Details of the JSWOC Course

The Joint Services Warrant Officers' Course runs for 2 weeks.

Other Courses and Exercises

These include courses for Reserve officers and for those about to attend staff training International and exercises for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Royal Naval Reserve Courses | Territorial Army Courses

Multinational Participation at the JSCSC and Other Defence Training Courses in the United Kingdom

Annually the JSCSC hosts a number of foreign and Commonwealth officers on courses.
