Junior Officers Development Programme (JODP)

Intermediate Level Professional Military Development Training (Air) (ILPMD(A))

The JODP is described fully in AP7000. This item briefly describes the JODP which is conducted by the RAF Division, JSCSC, at the Defence Academy.

Officers who graduated from IOT or ROIT from Jul 06 onwards (new cohorts) must complete JODs 1, 2 and 3 and the associated online distance learning. In addition, completion of JODP is a pre-requisite for promotion to substantive sqn ldr rank. New cohort junior officers are mandated to attend JOD 1 once they have completed between 18 to 30 months of service following IOT or ROIT.  You will need to complete online distance learning before each JOD course, so allow 6 months between applying for and attending a residential course.

To enquire about a JOD course please contact the RAF Division, JSCSC: phone 96161 8244 for JOD 1 and 96161 8204 for JOD 2 & 3 or e-mail jodp.jscsc@da.mod.uk
