Royal College of Defence Studies Visit to New York and Washington DC – 30 March to 3 April 2009

For the fourth year in succession, RCDS paid a whole-college visit to New York and Washington to examine at first hand the ways in which the foreign and security policies of the USA, and the work of the United Nations, International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have an influence on global stability, security and prosperity.

The Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) was privileged to receive a visit from His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan at Seaford House on 9 November.

Prime Minister Delivers Major Speech at RCDS (6 Nov)

The College was delighted to welcome the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP, who delivered an important speech on Afghanistan in the run-up to Remembrance weekend.

A seminar group of 15 Members from the Centre des Hautes Etudes Militaires (CHEM) in Paris joined the Royal College of Defence Studies at Seaford House from Tuesday 26 May to Friday 29 May.

Royal College of Defence Studies, UK Regional Study Visits 4 - 8 May 2009

The Royal College of Defence Studies visited Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and 5 regions of England to conduct UK Regional Study Visits commencing on the afternoon of the bank holiday, Monday 4th May.
