Defence Academy Charity Music and Fireworks 16th July
The Defence Academy staged another successful Music and Fireworks extravaganza in aid of charity on Thursday 16th July 2009 despite the inclement weather.
This year the music was provided by the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Collingwood led by their Director of Music, Major J Burcham MMus PGDip(TCM) LRSM Royal Marines.
Additional entertainment this year was provided by opera singer Louise Booker, plus, the Pipes & Drums of the Royal Regiment of Scotland 5th Battalion. Children were also entertained with a bouncy castle and two face painters who were kept very very busy! The show ended with a spectacular fireworks display, synchronized with the musical finale by the Cambridgeshire firm, Kimbolton Fireworks.
