Defence Centre of Training Support (DCTS) to join the Defence Academy

DCTS will come under Command & Control (C2) of the Defence Academy on 1st November 2012.

DCTS is the authority on the delivery of specialist training within the UK Defence community, preparing staff for instructional, training management and training support tours.  It also supports the cost effective exploitation and optimum application of learning technologies and eLearning across Defence.

Following a study, it has been agreed that C2 should be transferred from JFC Joint Warfare to the Defence Academy, where it will sit within the COS's area of responsibility.

In the short term, there is no intent to move DCTS from its current location at RAF Halton.
