Minister visits the Defence Academy
On 16 January Philip Dunne, Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, visited the Defence Capability Centre and the Joint Services Command and Staff College at The Defence Academy at Shrivenham.
His tour of the DCC included the Ammunition Hall and the counter improvised explosive device training facility. During his visit to JSCSC he gave an address to the students on the Advanced Command and Staff Course about balancing the MOD’s programme.
Philip Dunne said ‘The White Paper “National Security Through Technology” emphasised the importance of Defence being an intelligent customer of equipment and support. The Defence Academy’s educational and training programmes make a key contribution to this. I was delighted to have the opportunity to see their work at first hand and learn how their programmes are being developed to meet future demands.’
