Relocation of Acquisition Training

The current Acquisition Support Contract is due to mature on 31 December 2011. Admiral House (Bristol), the current focal point for Acquisition training delivery in the South West, is provided as part of this contract and is therefore due to close on the same date.

To enable the relocation of the Acquisition Training Team out of Admiral House, our current training programme only schedules courses until mid-November 2011. This does not mean that training, during the period mid-November to end-December 2011, will not be provided – this merely allows 6 weeks for Defence Academy to relocate its staff and equipment to our new temporary training facilities in Foxhill (Bath).

During this period, delegates should continue to register for specific Acquisition courses by contacting defac-cmt-ab-br-equiries@mod.uk. Information such as your name, the course(s) required, your staff number and contact details should be provided. On receipt, your name will be added to the waitlist for the course that you have requested. We will monitor the waitlists for each course and, where numbers necessitate, we will schedule additional courses accordingly.

If any Acquisition Training Sponsor has an urgent business requirement for their specific courses to be scheduled, they should contact the Acquisition Business Development Manager (e-mail: defac-cmt-ab-br-bd@mod.uk) directly.

We are currently preparing the January – March 2012 Acquisition training schedule; which we aim to publish by mid-October. Where a waitlist exists, individuals will be offered places on the new course dates on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please note: when you receive your joining instructions it is important that you check the location of your training, as courses may be delivered at a variety of locations.
