Visit of the University of Westminster to the Defence Academy
On Thursday 2nd October, a small delegation from the University of Westminster visited the Defence Academy, sponsored by Colonel Mike Montagu MA, Chief of Staff (COS), Defence Academy of the UK.
University of Westminster delegation arrives at the Defence Capability Centre (DCC) met by Mrs Kathy Clarke, Assistant Director Development.
The principal guest from the University was Dr Myszka Guzkowska, Pro Vice Chancellor, who was accompanied by Prof Nabil Ayad, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of London and Mr Robert Williams, Principal Lecturer and MOBLEB course leader.
The aim of the visit was to encourage wider cooperation across research, innovation and education with a familiarisation and opportunity for discussion across the areas of expertise within the component parts of the Academy. The University of Westminster is well placed to assist the Defence Academy with wider representation and expertise as well as developing understanding and coexistence to share ideas and opportunities.
The visit proved mutual beneficial with an opportunity to forge greater cooperation in the future. It is hoped that the COS of the Defence Academy and the Senior Fellow, Mr Chris Donnelly will be able to follow up with a reciprocal visit to the University in the near future to scope further areas for collaborative efforts.
