For those unfamiliar with the DAO, the then Qualification Curriculum Authority (QCA), granted ‘Defence’ the authority to award national recognised qualifications in its own right as an Awarding Organisation in March 2008. 

Such qualifications are only awarded where there is no other suitable accreditation available through mainstream Awarding Organisations such as City & Guilds, Edexcel etc.

Whilst the numbers of courses accredited through the scheme are relatively low, we anticipate adding more courses as we develop the programme in the near future.  Further details will be available shortly.
