Lest we forget...

Remembrance Sunday

We will remember them

Typhoon Squadron was once again priviledged to act as the Guard of Honour to the Charnwood Borough Council's Remembrance Sunday Parade in Queen's Park, Loughborough.  Along with a contingent nearly 30-strong, Squadron numbers exceeded 70 uniformed personnel on parade.

With an autumnal backdrop, the ceremony on 13 Nov was solemnly performed by the Rev Richard Featonby, the Royal British Legion priest to the Loughborough Branch.  The Carillion War Memorial was surrounded by the masses of families and friends who came to pay their respects to the nation’s fallen servicemen and servicewomen.

After the outdoor service, the PMC had arranged a lunch at the Gallery for Mess members and their loved ones.  The function was well attended and was a great opportunity for staff, students and ISDOs to reflect on the morning’s events and memories of past friends and relatives.
