Forming part of a blended learning suite, this on-line course is designed to provide new Supply Chain Managers (and existing Inventory Managers who wish to refresh existing knowledge) with a basic awareness of Supply Chain Information Systems (Maritime). The course is a mandatory requirement for all new Supply Chain Managers and contributes to gaining an Inventory Management. Licence. Those seeking to gain their licence will be required to attend a Supply Chain Information Systems (Maritime) Workshop within 2 months of completing this on-line course.

The Course is designed for learners who are: a. New to Supply Chain Management b. Existing Supply Chain Managers who wish to refresh their knowledge; c. Those who wish to raise their awareness of Supply Chain Information Systems (Maritime) irrespective of role.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

•Explain a variety of Maritime Supply Chain Management processes
•Recognise screen enquiries relative to Maritime IS activities
•Manage inputs, outputs and resulting data management for Maritime IS activities.

Course Components

The course consists of a single module of 13 topics, which will be undertaken sequentially. There is no pre or post test.

The e-learning course can be completed over a number of sessions. You may exit and return as many times as you wish; your progress through the course will be saved to enable you to resume where you left off.

The only limitation on your study is the length of time you have to complete the Course - 30 days from starting it. If your course expires it can be extended, however, we would encourage you to complete the course within the given time.
