Through Life Capability Management (Practitioners) - TLCM (P) - TLCM-B - 21 - 24 Jan 2013

TLCM Context: Defence policy - definition of the military capability and other objectives required of Defence to meet the Government's overall policy aims within planned resources; Military capability - to deliver Defence policy and support wider Government policy objectives. Within this context the course examines, through current guidance, the planning, delivery and generation of military capability including organisational structures, processes and enabling functions. Specific emphasis is given to the management of risk, Urgent Operational Requirements and the impact of behaviours. The course also provides an experiential view from the Front Line Commands and Industry.

Suitable For

Members of the MOD Unified Customer (Capability Customer; Front Line Commands; DE&S; Science Innovation and Technology and MOD Centre) and other Personnel (including Industry) for Employment in CM.

Course Aim

The aim of the Through Life Capability Management (TLCM) Practitioner course is to prepare Unified Customer and other Personnel for employment in Capability Management.

An examination of the behavioural and cultural dimensions of organisational change and their influence on the successful implementation of capability management.
