Senior Executives' Partners Seminar - SEPS
Suitable For
RAF - The seminar is specifically designed for the partners of newly appointed stn and unit cdrs and these partners will have priority over other applicants. Partners of flying sqn cdrs and wg cdrs in command appointments would also find the seminar very valuable and may attend if places are available.
Course Aim
The aim of the SEPS is "to help prepare the partners of senior executives, either just before or soon after they arrive on stations, for some aspects of station life in which they are likely to have the opportunity to become directly involved."

Course Components
The seminar is held over two days, beginning on a Wednesday morning and finishing mid-afternoon the following day. The programme normally includes the following:

- Supporting the RAF Community
- RAF Benevolent Fund
- Chairmanship/Public Speaking
- RAF Widows Association
- Defence Estates (Housing)
- RAF Families Federation
- HIVE
- Role of OC Base Support Wing
- Role of the Stn Cdr/Exec's wife

Application and Joining Instructions
Applications should be made directly to the RAFD Administrators (96161 8205 or 01793 788205). Joining Instructions will be issued approximately 4 weeks before the study period assembles.
Accounting
Travel will be allowed at public expense against the budget of the unit or station where the partner holds, or is posted to hold, a senior executive appointment. There will be no charge for accommodation, which will be in the Officers' Mess at the JSCSC, and all meals will be provided. However, attendees will be required to settle a small mess bill prior to departure.
