About this course

The course introduces you to the UK's Parliamentary Funding and Treasury Control Framework. 

You will examine the statement of financial position and statement of comprehensive net expenditure as well as financial concepts such as VAT, foreign exchange, fuels, control accounts and debt management.

For MOD employees, the course is useful preparation for the department's finance skills foundation courses. 

What you will learn

By the end of this course you will have an awareness of the following:
  • double entry bookkeeping and RACs
  • financial Statements
  • budgeting and forecasting
  • parliamentary funding

Completion of this course will enable you to be able to attempt the financial skills foundation courses which are a pre-requisite for holding a letter of delegation.
