The course uses syndicate exercises to consolidate learning and is set against a context of the MOD acquisition environment. It is designed to provide an understanding of how principles of reliability and maintainability are applied in defence procurement and equipment life cycles. It is a pre-requisite for the MOD’s Practitioner of Reliability and Maintainability course.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- support decisions involving reliability and maintainability
- interpret reliability and maintainability requirements
- promote consideration of reliability and maintainability within equipment project cycles
Reliability and maintainability of parts or services is an essential aspect of any equipment project. This course provides better understanding of the principles to support advice or decisions within a project team environment.
Completion of Introduction to Defence Acquisition (IDA/IDAOLT) or have a thorough understanding of the MOD Acquisition Process. The work covered by the IDA is treated as assumed knowledge.
