Diversity & Inclusion Advisers are key influencers in an organisation. As a key influencer, you will work with specialist groups within your organisation and liaise with senior leaders to gain their commitment to initiatives in support of the MOD D&I Strategy and in promoting a whole force inclusive working environment. You will also provide moral support and provide advice to personnel of all ranks and grades in respect of the bullying and harassment complaints procedure.
This course allows potential D&I Advisers to attend over 4 days in one sitting, with collaborative evening work required.
There will be pre course activity of between 4-6 hours.
In this course you will learn:
- current Defence Diversity & Inclusion (DD&I) strategy, policies and initiatives in order to create a whole force for inclusive working environment
- to be able to provide appropriate, accurate and impartial advice regarding discrimination, bullying, harassment and/or abuse in accordance with JSP 763
- to be able to produce and maintain accurate DD&I logs and reports and ensure they are recorded in accordance with JSP 763, to include practitioner summary reports
- to be able to evaluate the unit, establishment, station or formation headquarters DD&I climate and formulate effective action plans
To be able to perform the role of a Diversity and Inclusion Advisor.
D&I Fundamentals on line course – completed within the previous 12 months and achieving a pass mark of at least 80%.
Unconscious Bias/D&I on line course – completed within previous 12 months
