About this course

The aim of the DD&I (A) course is to prepare Military and Civil Service personnel to perform duties as a DD&I (A) at Unit, establishment and formation headquarters level.

Delegates for these courses should apply  through  their TLBs as per 2019DIN07-028. 

What you will learn

You will learn/develop the following:
  • articulate current Defence Diversity &Inclusion Strategy, policies and initiatives in order to create a whole force for inclusive working environment
  • provide appropriate, accurate and impartial advice regarding discrimination, bullying, harassment and/or abuse in accordance with JSP 763
  • produce and maintain accurate DD&I logs and reports and ensure they are recorded in accordance with JSP 763
  • evaluate the unit, establishment, station or formation headquarter for DD&I climate and formulate effective action plans

To perform the role of a D&I (A ).

Limited to MOD personnel only.

Before you attend

  • D&I Fundamentals on line course – completed within the previous 12 months and achieving a pass mark of at least 80%.
  • Unconsciousness Bias on line course – completed within previous 12 months.
  • D&I (P) within the previous 3 years.
  • Pre course activity of between 4-6 hours.

Blended Learning

How will you be assessed?

  • Completion of Defence Diversity and Inclusion Fundamentals Course with pass mark of at least 80%.
  • Assessments will be conducted throughout the course.
  • You will be deemed competent or non-competent to carry out the role of a D&I (A).
  • Accreditation is currently being sought from DAO, ILM and CMI.
