About this course
All DHET courses will be run online until the end of 2020.
The aim of the course is to develop participant’s knowledge of adult teaching and learning theory in order to improve their performance as directing staff at the Defence Academy. They will learn how to employ modern training techniques.

How will this course help my career?
The focus of the course is developing the use of adult learning as opposed to the standard teaching methodologies employed in schools. Using evidence based training the DHET covers the theoretical aspects of learning and teaching along with how these concepts can be applied practically in the classroom. By understanding how to engage adult learners the DHET enables trainers to construct and deliver training pitched appropriately to their students.
