About this course

A practical course using syndicate exercises to practice scrutiny techniques and consolidate learning.  The course uses MOD policy to illustrate corporate governance surrounding regularity, propriety, value for money, novel and contentious expenditure, losses and special payments along with the control of expenditure through a framework of delegated finance and audit.   It is primarily aimed at finance officers and set against an MOD context but the principles explored have broader applicability to wider government employees including non-finance professionals involved in a requirement setting process.
