About this course

The course is designed to be interactive using case studies, individual exercises and group activities to consolidate a series of theory and practitioner presentations. Adopting a systems approach in a context of portfolio management and the MOD’s financial military capability process, the course explores the principles behind defence reform and associated behavioural and cultural dimensions of change.  It investigates the effects of strategy, policy, national and international factors on managing military capability and then practical analysis of capability planning and coherence including risk management and holding to account.
