About this course

The objective of the course is to cover the fundamental theory of the subjects of both aerodynamics and propulsion, in order that it may be understood and later applied to real GW system designs.

What you will learn

You will learn about:
  • fluid dynamics
  • lift and drag
  • compressible flow
  • transonic, supersonic and hypersonic flows
  • thermodynamics and gas dynamics principles
  • propulsion performance parameters and flight mechanics
  • solid and liquid propellant rocket propulsion theory

This course is suitable for anyone in the services or industry intending to gain a background level in propulsion and aerodynamics, but is especially applicable to anyone working in the guided weapons arena. A background in engineering or science would be beneficial, though not essential.
