About this course

This is an entry level course which will ensure you understand how accreditation is delivered within a government organisation structure and how to complete the accreditor role effectively.

What you will learn

You will learn to:
  • understand the accreditation requirements
  • understand how risks are identified and managed
  • understand how accreditation is delivered
  • make accreditation work
  • become an effective accreditor

Before you attend

You must:
  • be a UK, EU or Commonwealth citizen
  • hold a current UK Government baseline security standard screening or equivalent
  • be employed by the UK government as a UK civil servant, another UK public body or a private sector organisation and working on a contract with a UK public body
  • work in a role which requires access to UK government policy
  • complete the Information Risk Management for Her Majesty's Government course
