About this course

This course is to introduce you to integrated logistic support (ILS), a comprehensive, through-life discipline that delivers supported and supportable equipment at optimum whole life cost (WLC). 

What you will learn

You will learn:
  • the principles that underpin MOD’s approach to ILS/supportability engineering 
  • the ILS elements and associated disciplines which should be addressed in an integrated manner to ensure a well-supported product, at minimal WLCs
  • the considerations that influence ILS strategy and planning to ensure integration with other programme areas

How will this course help my career?

It will consolidate practitioner level knowledge in a fundamental area of acquisition and support. 

It is a mandatory course for technical through life support (TTLS) staff in DE&S who wish to obtain the TTLS Skills Certificate 2.

You must have completed the ILS Introduction Online Training.
