About this course

This course will give you an awareness of international procurement in the MOD context. Also identifying the role of commercial staff when engaging in international procurement and all aspects that are required to be considered. 

What you will learn

By the end of this course you will have an awareness of:
  • the MOD context of international procurement 
  • the role of commercial staff in international procurement 
  • the key stakeholders in the context of MOD international procurement 
  • the influence of international procurement on the commercial strategy  
  • international trade agreements and procedures including: US Foreign Military Sales (FMS), TAAs and MLAs, US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and OCCAR

This course will help commercial staff understand the role that is required of them in international procurement.

This course is targeted at commercial staff who are in or due to enter roles undertaking international procurement.
