About this course

The course looks at the purpose of a memorandum of understanding and its differences to a treaty or contract. It considers the structure and processes for creating a formal arrangement and factors for consideration within international negotiations. It also introduces basic principles of cost share. Set against a MOD process, it has wider applicability for non-MOD government employees involved in the management of memorandum of understanding and formal international arrangements. 

It is part of a suite of MOD courses designed to assist commercial officers progress from awareness to expert level but will be of use to non-commercial officers involved in the subject area.
