During this three day course you will be introduced to ‘mentoring best practice’ aimed at enhancing your mentoring knowledge, skills and behaviours to support future mentoring relationships. You will learn the fundamentals of mentoring, along with the mentoring process, and will have the opportunity to practice your skills including: reflective practices, questioning skills, listening skills and goal setting.
This course is delivered through a blended approach, consisting of one day preparation work accessible via Defence Learning Environment (DLE), 1.5 days delivered virtually (3 modules over 3 consecutive half days) followed by a half day post course work due for submission four weeks after the virtual delivery to complete the course. All elements of the course will need to be marked as complete to gain the Charted Management Institute (CMI) Level 5 Award in Coaching and Mentoring accreditation. Joining instructions will be issued approximately four weeks prior to attending the 1.5 days virtual delivery. Delegates who do not complete the required preparation work before attending the virtual delivery will be removed from the course and their TLB notified.
