This is an evidence-based one-day workshop designed for Defence Senior Leaders tasked with creating a positive environment in which a mentally fit, resilient and productive workforce can thrive. Drawing on the PERMA model of Positive Psychology, concepts are explored through a combination of self-reflection and peer engagement. The Workshop aims to promote greater understanding of the importance of mental fitness and resilience for leaders themselves, and of role-modelling and embedding conducive conditions in their organisations.
Please note that the Leading Diverse and Inclusive Organisations (LDIO) Workshop
, mandatory every 3 years for OF6-OF9 military officers and Senior Civil Servants, is also available for booking and complements the SLMFR learning experience.
SLMFR applicants are asked to note the following points:
- Access to the Defence Learning Environment (DLE) is fundamental requirement.
- The online platform used is Adobe Connect and this cannot be accessed via MODNet devices.
- Pre-workshop study on the DLE (max 2 hrs) is essential as it contributes to the workshop.
