About this course

This course provides an overview of how stress and resilience can impact on the health and well-being of an individual.  As such it employs practical techniques to reduce personal stress and build a psychological resilience that you can use within the workplace to counter the current and future pressures of today’s working environment.

Successful completion of Module 1 (Foundation) is a pre-requisite for enrolment on Module 2 (Leading by Example), which you will become eligible for after a minimum period of 4 weeks (for reflection and application).

A full delivery programme for the period 01 Apr 18 to 01 Apr 19 will be published in Feb 18. 

What you will learn

You will learn/develop:
  • an appreciation of the impact stress has on health and the increased risks associated with chronic stress 
  • an understanding of the importance one’s ‘mindset’ to counter the effects of stress
  • employ practical techniques to reduce personal stress and build psychological resilience

Experiential learning via syndicate work, group discussions, practical activities.   

How will this course help my career?

The skills learned will assist the individual to cope and counter the stress related effects of the today’s workplace.  The practises learned will allow the attendee to build a psychological resilience to increase well-being and protect the health related dangers associated with stress.
