About this course

The course considers what is meant by pre-sourcing and when it might be conducted within a procurement cycle.  It looks at why and how common goods are categorised, the role of Crown Commercial Services and how commercial officers contribute to the requirement setting process in a project environment. Set in a context of the MOD, it examines a route to market process and how category management codes are used but the course has wider applicability to non-MOD commercial officers, suppliers and wider government employees.  The course assumes a basic level of commercial experience.
