About this course

This is for those of you who, although you are not actual trainers, come into contact with phase 1 and 2 trainees.  It will help you to provide necessary support and care for the trainees by enhancing your listening and questioning skills and techniques.

What you will learn

You will learn to:
  • identify and deal with personal issues, expectations and attitudes to authority
  • identify and deal with loss and grief
  • identify and deal with issues of self harm and suicide
  • enhance good listening skills
  • be confident of your confidentially and referral processes

To ensure you are best placed in your position to help and guide those trainees you come into contact with – therefore increasing the possibility of moving forward in your own chosen career.

Non-training staff who come into contact with phase 1 and phase 2 trainees.
