Module 0 will provide you with an awareness of how cyber is being taken forward as a defence and pan-governmental endeavour of central importance. The course makes use of visiting speakers from industry, defence and other government departments who are experts and leading practitioners in their respective areas.
This module is situated at the beginning of the Cyber Foundation Pathway and is a mandatory course for you if attending subsequent modules; however Module 0 is also able to be attended if you do not plan to progress further down the pathway.
Module 0 replaces Cyber Operations Awareness Course (COAC). There are, however, some key additions to CFPM0 which were not covered in COAC. If you have recently (last 18 months) completed COAC you are still required to complete CFPM0, however you are only required to attend from 1300 Thursday onwards.
The course will include an exploration of cyber doctrine, key legal considerations around cyber, cyber psychology, cyber developments and their ramifications, the deployment and utility of cyber effects within operations, and the operational roles and responsibilities of the organisations with cyber and cyber-related roles within defence and wider government.
Please contact the course administrator for more information.
Completion of Cyber 101 through the online Defence Learning Environment is a mandatory pre-requisite.
This course is suitable for the following type(s) of applicant.
