About this course
The course uses practical exercises to consolidate learning and references Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Level 4 learning outcomes and procurement models. The MOD’s procurement cycle is used as a basis to illustrate practical application of commercial input to the process.
The course examines areas of potential commercial risk, commercial assurance and compliance with relevant legislation. It considers competitive or single source contracting and potential legal challenges. It is also part of a suite of MOD courses designed to assist commercial officers progress from awareness to expert level but has wider applicability to non-MOD and wider government employees.

identify and manage commercial risks through each stage of a procurement cycle
place competitive or single source contracts and minimise risk of legal challenge or dispute
