About this course

This mandatory course is aimed at all MOD LVPePC managers and explains the principles and policy surrounding low value purchasing and ePC within the MOD.

You should only apply for this course if you will be taking on an LVP Manager, Deputy LVP Manager or Checking Officer role. Cardholders should refer to the guidance on DefNet. This course is not intended for staff who need a background to low value purchasing.

This is the virtual alternative to the current LVPePC classroom-based course delivered by the Business Skills College

What you will learn

By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • demonstrate a detailed knowledge of an LVP/ePC manager's role and responsibilities
  • demonstrate an understanding of low value purchasing methods and processes
  • ensure correct application of low value purchasing policy and identify the correct routes to market

How will this course help my career?

This course is mandatory to be able to undertake the role of the LVP/ePC manager or deputy manager role. It is also recommended for ePC Checking Officers.

Before you attend

  • delegates are advised to become familiar with JSP 332:
  • is advised that you have access to Google Chrome on your work laptop or own personal device to access the virtual classroom

How will you be assessed?

There will a 30-minute multiple choice test at the end of the course which if passed will enable you to become LVP managers or duty managers.
