About this course

You will develop the skills required to administer, create and assure Moodle-based learning on the Defence Learning Environment (DLE).

DLE Role Functionality Training (DLERFT) provide technical system training and a supportive online learning system to reinforce learning whilst in a DLE role.

The course consists of five incremental modules that require completion, dependant on your DLE role:

*DLE Non-Editing Trainer (DLENET) - you will learn about DLE awareness and the DLE assessor role
*DLE Administration Course (DLEADM) - you will learn about navigating the DLE, how to add groups, enrol students and run reports
*DLE Foundation Course (DLEFDN) - builds on the course management principles started in DLE Administration and introduces you to DLE Policy, creating and managing effective DLE courses
*DLE Intermediate Course (DLEINT) - builds on the course management principles started in DLE Administration and Foundation and introduces you to DLE Governance and Compliance Policy.
*DLE Advanced Course (DLEADV) - you will build upon the practices you have learnt in the previous three courses to increase your knowledge of DLE policy and management of categories and sub-categories

Completion of training is mandated before permissions are allocated on the DLE.

How this course will help your career

DLERFT will provide you with the skills necessary to carry out your assigned DLE role and must be completed before role permissions can be allocated.

Completion of DLERFT to intermediate level is a prerequisite for attending the DOLC.
