Fundamentals of Defence Packaging

This course provides an overview of defence packaging and the wider associated issues of handling, storage and transportation.

The course aims to:

• provide knowledge about the fundamentals of defence packaging
• knowledge on packaging, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T) considerations for defence
• prepare individuals to contract for and manage PHS&T solutions

You will learn:

• the importance of PHS&T for defence
• how PHS&T is managed effectively through life
• about the various packaging options and when each is applicable
• about the military packager approval scheme

It will consolidate practitioner level knowledge in a fundamental area of support and enable you to adopt the role of 'intelligent customer' when contracting for PHS&T.
