This course builds upon ILS Introduction Online by further exploring the discipline of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), a comprehensive, through-life discipline that delivers supported and supportable equipment at optimum Whole Life Cost (WLC).
You must have completed the ILS Introduction Online Training (ILSIOL) before studying this course.
You will learn:
- the principles that underpin MOD’s approach to ILS/supportability engineering
- the ILS elements and associated disciplines which should be addressed in an integrated manner to ensure a well-supported product
- the considerations that influence ILS strategy and planning to ensure integration with other programme areas
This course will introduce practitioner level knowledge in ILS. It is applicable to anyone who works in, or is interested in, the defence support environment, and is a mandatory course for Technical Through Life Support (TTLS) staff in DE&S who wish to obtain the TTLS Practitioner Certificate.
