Introduction to Human Factors Integration

Through a series of activities and discussions, this workshop will introduce the discipline of Human Factors Integration (HFI) and its application in defence.                                                                              It will explore how HFI should be managed through life to ensure that it is considered in the design, development and support of defence capabilities.

In this interactive workshop you will learn:

• what HFI is in the defence context
• the broad technical areas of the HFI discipline
• the impact of human factors on Defence equipment
• how HFI is managed in defence projects

This course will introduce you to a fundamental area of acquisition and support. It will enhance your understanding of human factors and the importance of considering them throughout the defence project lifecycle. It is an essential course for anyone nominated as a HFI Focal Point.
