It is a brief, solution focused model of active listening which offers, in a very practical way, the broad knowledge and basic practise of listening skills.
You will be encouraged to engage with your personal experiences of loss and bereavement and as a result this course can be quite emotionally challenging.

*the processes, emotions and tasks of mourning - differing forms of grief
*to better understand the issues in dealing with bereavement and loss within the Services
The development of listening skills and effective facilitation will enable you to develop your personal and professional confidence and thus improve your performance and resilience in the workplace and elsewhere.
An enhanced understanding of loss and bereavement will develop personal resilience and increase your ability to not only manage yourself but those you encounter, lead or command in any sphere of life.

Chaplain Instructor (RAF), AFCC will contact you prior to the course with details.
The course is not assessed but day 4 will evidence the formative development of participants through role-play exercises using active listening skills in a range of scenarios.
