This course is an opportunity for new entrant RAuxAF Chaplains to reflect on their experience of military chaplaincy and its relationship to their civilian ministry and also to develop initial chaplaincy awareness, knowledge and understanding. The demands of Reserve Chaplaincy are similar yet different to regular service.
This course will look at all areas but with attention to the requirements of the RAuxAF. Course numbers will be dependant on the requirements of the RAF Chaplaincy services.
You will learn/develop:
- the Chaplain-in-Chief’s Intent and the roles and responsibilities of Chaplaincy services (RAF)
- the ethos and heritage of RAF chaplaincy
- world faiths and Tri-Service chaplaincy
- personal and spiritual resilience
- initial career development and through life chaplaincy training
All with reference to the demands of Reserve chaplaincy.
This is mandatory training within 2-years of ROIT at RAFC Cranwell.
