Support Solution Coherence and Assurance

Over the course of the workshop, discussions will examine the importance of driving coherence into support solution development work through use of the Support Solutions Envelope (SSE) and the links with the support assurance process.

For DE&S staff completing the TTLS learning pathway, the ILS Management and Supportability Engineering workshop (ILSMSE or ILSMSE(V)) and Support Solution Assurance Online (SSAOLT) must be completed prior to attendance on this course.

Anyone who is involved in support solution development work may attend this workshop as a standalone course upon completion of Support Solution Assurance Online (SSAOLT).

You will learn:

• why coherence is important in support solution development
• the purpose of the Support Solutions Envelope (SSE) and how it is used in the assurance process
• the importance of using the Support Solution Development Tool (SSDT) to demonstrate compliance with the SSE

This course will consolidate practitioner level knowledge in a fundamental area of ILS.

All military equipment must be supported effectively in order to achieve capability and even the most advanced equipment in the world can become ineffective very quickly without the appropriate support solution.

This course is applicable to anyone who works in, or is interested in, the defence support environment, or who is involved with support solution development.

It is a mandatory course for Technical Through Life Support (TTLS) staff in DE&S who wish to obtain the TTLS Practitioner Certificate.
