Sharon Brookes appointed new Director of the Defence College for Military Capability Integration

Sharon Brookes has been selected as the new Director of the Defence College for Military Capability Integration (DCMCI) in the Defence Academy. Currently the DCMCI’s Chief Operating Officer, Sharon will move into the role on 13 March 2023.

Speaking of her appointment, Major General Andrew Roe, Chief Executive and Commandant of the Defence Academy, said:

“I am delighted that Sharon has accepted the role as Director DCMCI. As Chief Operating Officer, Sharon has been closely involved in the college’s successful activities since it was founded. She is exactly the right person to lead DCMCI into the future, fulfilling its role of strengthening defence’s technological and information advantage training and education in these times of perpetual change.

“I would also like to thank Captain Ian Stidston, who took on the role of interim director after Heather Goldstraw left in December, for his positive leadership of DCMCI for the past three months.”

“I am excited to have this opportunity to lead DCMCI into the next stage of its development, working with a great team of colleagues who are all focused on meeting and delivering the requirements of defence.”
